Adult Learners Week - Terri Butler MP, Labor for Griffith

Adult Learners Week

1-8 September marks 20 years of celebrating and recognising Adult Learners' Week with a theme of 'Unlocking Learning'. This theme addresses the common misconception that learning ends with schooling. A key message of Adult Learners' Week is that learning is a lifelong activity. Lifelong learners are adults who want to continually expand their skills, knowledge and interests.

A range of organisations across Australia will be holding events to celebrate Adult Learners' Week. These include:

  • Neighbourhood Houses
  • Libraries
  • Community Centres
  • TAFE Colleges
  • Businesses
  • Not-For-Profit Organisations
