The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman is calling for submissions to an inquiry into payment times and practices for small businesses.
The issue of late payments to small business was a recurring theme during the Ombudsman's consultation with the sector last year.
This inquiry will establish a clear view of the trends surrounding the commercial arrangements between large and small businesses, along with governments and small businesses, and the impact of these trends. The Inquiry will outline possible solutions to help address identified problem areas.
The Inquiry will seek input from businesses and industry stakeholders through submissions, an online survey, and public consultations.
Information on contributing to the Inquiry and its Terms of Reference can be found at: www.asbfeo.gov.au/inquiries
Submissions and survey entries close on 28 February 2017.
