Turnbull government says one thing, does another on tourism

I was pretty bemused when the Member for Capricornia, Michelle Landry, moved a motion this week about the Turnbull government's record in relation to the tourism industry. The Member for Flynn spoke in support of it, too.

The Turnbull government's approach to tourism has been pretty muddled. With our economy needing diversification, Deloitte identifying tourism as an important area for growth, and tourism exports becoming an even more important part of Australia's trade with other nations, the Turnbull government's poor anti-tourism policies couldn't have come at a worse time.
